Belgium defeated France yesterday in WCL8 by 3 wickets. France could only muster 135 but were helped by the Belgian bowlers who gave away 24 wides! However Eddie Wright took a valuable 5-24. In between the wides there was some good bowling but France probably should have been out for under 100.
When Belgium batted, Ali Raza took control by scoring 27 in 36 balls and with Amir Iqbal 51 gave the Belgian team a great start. However wickets started to tumble and from 88-1 Belgium collapsed to 106-6. Belgium eventually won thanks to a partnership of 34 by Shahid Muhammed and Abdul Rehman 23.
Supporting Belgium is not good for the health and many supporters watching probably felt as tired and stressed as the players.
