A cricket bowling challenge is part of the massive sports participation event at the Belgian Olympic Committee's Olympic Sunday in Brussels on September 18.
Sponsored by the National Lottery, the cricket challenge will feature two pitches and offer contestants six balls, or one over, each to hit the wickets. Coaches, including our National Coach, will be on-site to prime all those taking part and anyone hitting the wickets will be presented with a prize.
With this year's emphasis on the Olympic Games in London next year, Olympic Sunday is specially featuring cricket and three other English 'grass sports' together with a Unilever-Delhaize stand providing Lipton Tea and biscuits.
This is the third time Olympic Sunday has taken place and last year's event attracted 35,000 people. There are more than 50 different activities, with sports offering initiations by specialists.
The involvement of cricket was organised through the Meise Wolverines Cricket Club close to Brussels.
