The national Under-19 squad leaves for the 10-nation European Division 2 Championships on the Isle of Man tomorrow.
Belgium currently holds the Under-19 Division 2 title but faces some tough competition to hold it. Its group includes Denmark, France, Israel and Norway, and its first match is against Denmark - among the strongest teams at the tournament.
Combined with that, four of the squad members have been on duty with the national team at the European Division One Championships in Jersey and do not return until late tonight. And, while the Division One Championships were the short T20 format, the Under-19 Championships are full ODI - 50 overs - quite an adjustment.
The others have faced some tough build-up competition against the visiting Mt Albert Grammar School Cricket Academy from Auckland, New Zealand, and a Dutch side.
The tournament website, which will feature live-scoring of some matches and scoring updates, can be found here.
