Umpiring appointments in the BCF League are managed by the Belgo-Lux Association of Cricket Umpires (BLACU).
Founded in 1995, BLACU is an independent body representing the interests of umpires based in Belgium and Luxembourg and is resolutely committed to maintaining the highest possible standards of umpiring.
As well as organizing courses, examinations and accreditation, BLACU has an active policy of encouraging good coordination and communication between umpires. Membership of BLACU is free and open to anyone with an active interest in umpiring in the Belux
A number of BLACU umpires regularly stand in ICC-Europe Championships. Three (Andrew Scott, Richard Eames and Ben Lougheed) have been appointed to the ICC-Europe Panel for 2011.
